Amira Elghawaby is a former National Council of Canadian Muslims executive and current board member of Canadian Anti-Hate Network.
In a video interview, she says an online regulator must be appointed to monitor hate speech on the internet.
“Canada is one of the worst online hate exporters in the world,” stated Elghawaby.

Why are we constantly exposed to newcomers telling Canadians we are the most racist, full of bigots, anti Muslims and other expressions. If Canada is so horrible why on earth would anyone want to come and call this beautiful country of the new home?
Canada is no worse than any other country, one could call out other countries that really do have a problem. Please stop all the negativity, Canadians are generous, kind, willing to take in people from all over the world. Please give us some credit instead of constantly trying to bring us down.
