An agreement between the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) and a public school in China has been renewed.
The five-year deal, which was signed in Brockville on Tuesday, will enable more secondary students from China to experience education at UCDSB schools. The agreement is with Zhengzhou School #9 in east-central China; the previous deal was also for five years.
The Grade 11 and Grade 12 students will learn English while seeking a Ontario Secondary School Diploma, which will help them qualify for post-secondary studies in Canada. About two dozen students from China are expected to attend UCDSB schools each year.
