Canadian transgender activist Jonathan “Jessica” Yaniv, a biologically born male who now claims to be “female,” will be at the Township of Langley council tonight asking for permission to host “topless” LGBT swim parties for “people aged 12+” at the municipality’s public swimming pools.
Inclusion, just being yourself and having love and kindness in your heart are the themes for the first Story Time with Drag Queens event in Thunder Bay, Ont., on Saturday at the city’s public library.
A west coast public library “Drag Queen Story Time” has evolved beyond drag queens reading pro-gay and pro-transgender books to kids to permitting children to frolic on the floor and LIE ON TOP OF A MAN dressed as a woman.
“There is absolutely no reason not to take our kids to Pride — it’s a fun day, there are a lot of bubbles, rainbow streamers and enjoyable performances,” writer, educator, and publisher S. Bear Bergman told HuffPost Canada.

The University of Cambridge’s Stonewall report found that 96 percent of trans students in Scotland attempted self-harm through actions such as cutting themselves, and 40 percent attempted suicide. Forty percent in the United States have attempted suicide, as well, according to a 2016 survey from the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE).
