Fox News has reported that a Seattle school district is under threat of a lawsuit by a religious liberty organization for instructing teachers to grant preferential treatment to Muslim students during the month of Ramadan, and even to use Arabic phrases in greeting such students during the Islamic holy month.
The complaint came from the Freedom of Conscience Defence Fund, which has accused the Dieringer School District of essentially adopting as policy recommendations that had been put forward by the Council on American-Islamic Relations(CAIR).
That was the basis of the complaint put forward by the executive director, Daniel Piedra, who said, “By urging teachers to bless Muslim students in Arabic, the district is running roughshod over the mandate of government neutrality toward religion.”
As it happens, within Islamic ideology, there is no such thing as “neutrality toward religion.” One of the fundamental reasons the Nation of Islam is quickly replacing Christianity as the dominant religion within western nations is that in Islam religion and politics are intertwined. Islam is not simply a belief system–it is a total, comprehensive way of life.
Not the same for the Christian faith. Add to this the potency of non-Muslim liberals who perpetrate Islamic practises and beliefs within western society. Of this, western educational institutions are a prime mover. Western school boards and teachers are dedicated to entrenching Islam within their schools, and indeed society as a whole.
Eschewing the fact that practices such as child marriage, female genital mutilation and other aspects of Sharia law are ILLEGAL practices, elementary school teachers– female in the main– push for the establishment of Islamic ideology with public school systems. They are indeed a strange lot.
Students within western nations are being taught to embrace Islam. Not Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, or any other of the world’s leading faiths. Concurrently, students are instructed to believe Muslims are forever maligned, and we must establish statutory holidays dedicated to their oppression.
Talk about a win-win situation for one specific community. The original purpose of multiculturalism is to create social equality among various ethnic communities within society. Is the situation within Seattle’s school district emblematic of this concept? Certainly doesn’t appear this way. The inequities are even more extreme in Canada.
