According True North News as sourced from  Blacklocks Reporter, a Liberal MP for Thunder Bay, Ontario has complained to staff and colleagues that “the federal response to COVID-19 has been secretive, bureaucratic and haphazard.”

Liberal MP Marcus Powlowski stated that it is “hard to have faith” in the Trudeau government’s COVID-19 response.

A major compoment of MP Powlowski’s dissatisfaction relates to the Trudeau government’s procurement of Covid masks:

It has been revealed that the Public Health Agency of Canada “ignored a proposal to produce face masks at the beginning of the pandemic because N95 masks were not a “top priority” at the time.”

It was later revealed that the Public Health Agency of Canadadestroyed two million N95 masks from the national stockpile in 2019. New masks were never ordered.”

According to CBC News, documents tabled with the House of Commons Health Committee show the Liberal government missed an opportunity to purchase critical pandemic-related supplies at the outset of the COVID-19 virus. Medical professionals scrambled to obtain personal protective equipment in the weeks that followed.”

Honeywell Corporation has a long track record of producing respiratory masks. They offered to supply N95 Covid masks just days after the Trudeau government ordered a shutdown of social and economic life as COVID-19 was rapidly rising.

A spokesperson for Minister of Public Services and Procurement, Liberal MP Anita Anand, referred all questions about Honeywell’s offer to PHAC, which did not respond to a request for comment.

On April 4th, 2020–as the pandemic began to take root in Canada, PM Justin Trudeau addressed the shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE), announcing that a flight carrying a shipment of masks from China would land in Canada in the next 48 hours.

“We’re working around the clock to get Canada the resources we need,” Trudeau told reporters outside of his home in Ottawa.

From China, that is. In other words, a continuation of a pattern in which Trudeau’s Liberals  benefit and prioritize China above the needs of  citizens of Canada.

No wonder Cultural Action Party continue to make the audacious claim that a Liberal Party federal government is one which works for the benefit of communist China.

Yet never do these claims flow forth from the collective pens of Canadian media.  CAP are not in a position to verify  that PM Trudeau prioritized the procurement of Covid masks on behalf of China.

On March 22nd, 2020, Liberal MP Marcus Powlowski wrote the following to the Liberal House Leader’s office:

“I am sorry if the party may be pissed off. I actually talked to companies, but I have reason to doubt preparedness. We should have moved on this over a month ago. Over the weekend nothing has happened. Sorry, pandemics don’t take the weekends off.”

Never playing it straight with Canadians, Justin Trudeau and the Liberals continue to play political games with the public– even when the circumstances are a matter of life and death.
