A Canadian needs a lot of fingers to count how many scandals Justin Trudeau has been involved in over his six-year period as prime minister. Some, such as SNC Lavalin and WE Charity are well-known, while others have escaped media scrutiny. Such is the case regarding the deaths of Barry and Honey Sherman.
“The 75-year-old chairman of Apotex Pharmaceuticals and his 70-year-old wife Honey were found dead of strangulation in their Toronto home in August, 2017. Media reports said they were both found hanged next to their indoor swimming pool.”
Apotex is the largest maker of generic drugs in Canada– as well as manufacturer of Covid-19 antidote Hydroxychloroquine. The Shermans’ fortune was estimated at more than US $3 billion.
At the time of death, Mr. Sherman was facing a potential five-year ban on lobbying the Liberal government, if proven he ran afoul of regulations prohibiting lobbyists from influencing office holders they helped get elected. According to government court documents, Sherman tried to block subpoenas of two Apotex executives issued by Canada’s Commissioner of Lobbying that would to compel them to speak with investigators.
The situation suggests a connection between the deaths of the Shermans, and the ruling Liberal government of Canada. It is arguable that an association between Justin Trudeau and Barry Sherman would have impeded Trudeau’s potential to become prime minister. At the heart of the investigation was a fundraising event held for Justin Trudeau at the Sherman home in early 2015.
Phil McIntosh, director of investigations for the lobby commission, stated in a report that “the directorate found evidence indicating Barry Sherman engaged in political activities that risk creating a sense of obligation on the part of public office holders” via the August 2015 Trudeau fundraiser.
“In light of Dr. Sherman’s passing, the purpose of the investigation to ensure his compliance with the (lobbying) code can no longer be fulfilled,” Belanger says in the letter dated January 24, 2016.
“The newly-appointed federal lobbying watchdog won’t look any further into a complaint about a private fundraiser the late Barry Sherman hosted for Justin Trudeau.”
No connection to the PMO was ever posited by Canadian media. Why wasn’t a Trudeau connection investigated regarding his relationship to the Shermans? Because media turned a blind-eye to the whole affair? For what reason? CAP suggest the idea that Justin Trudeau’s billion dollar pay-outs to media resulted in a lack of media scrutiny.
It’s not the first time media has disassociated PM Trudeau with grisly murders. Consider the case of 13-year old Melissa Shen. This Canadian girl was allegedly murdered in 2017 by a Syrian refugee in a suburban Vancouver park. Five years later, the case has yet to go to trial. Media reports on the case could fit on the head of a pin.
What connections did media make between the Shen murder, and the fact that the accused is one of Justin Trudeau’s original Syrian refugees? In a CBC interview, PM Trudeau stated he would be “personally responsible for” Syrian refugee behaviour subsequent to their arrival in Canada. It never happened.
A similar situation applies to the Danforth murders of two teenage Canadian girls by another Syrian refugee in 2018. Who is responsible for this person’s intake to Canada?
Justin Trudeau, prime minister of Canada– along with Somalian citizen immigration minister at the time, MP Ahmed Hussen. What statement did they issue in response to the tragic double-murder? Nothing. Degree of mainstream media focus– also nothing.
What to conclude? How about the idea that immigration and refugee intake is more important to government than dead Canadian school girls. Protecting Justin Trudeau is more important than the truth about the deaths of Barry and Honey Sherman.
And that nothing is more important to Justin Trudeau than maintaining control of the destiny of our nation. Crime, homicide, child murder be damned. In 2022, political power takes precedence over the murdered. A woke agenda of democratic erosion takes precedence over application of Canadian law.
As it is within communist and theocratic dictatorships. Putting the pieces together, we come to comprehend the fundamental shift in Canada’s political orientation.
From big pharma billionaires to murdered school girls. If an incident detracts from government control, media move it “out of sight, out of mind” for the benefit of Justin Trudeau.
