Prime Minister Justin Trudeau meets with his cabinet today and one of the top priorities is to approve a plan to resettle 25,000 refugees from Syria.
The fast-track Liberal plan needs to work out the logistics of how to get them here before year’s end, and where to house them once they arrive.
Arriving on Parliament Hill, Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan kept tight-lipped about the possibility of temporarily accommodating refugees at military bases and other facilities.
“Still working on it,” he said.
